In the last week of the first half of the Autumn Term, Upper Cerdic delivered the food donations from our Harvest Festival to the Lord’s Larder in Chard. The Lord’s Larder, together with the support of their dedicated team of volunteers, prepare emergency food supplies for people in need in the community. The children were met by volunteers who explained the role of the charity and its importance to those people who are struggling to put food on their tables. As part of the workshop the children helped to make up bags of food for several groups who had been approved for the scheme. Our thanks to the volunteers for their time and to our school community for allowing us to contribute to this very worthy cause.
