Enrolling at Chard School
Chard School does not ask prospective pupils to sit an entrance exam. We like to spend time meeting both the child and the parents; getting to know them is important as is looking at reports from the previous school and, when appropriate, speaking to the past Head. We always encourage prospective pupils to spend at least one whole day with us where both sides can get to know each other over the course of a school day.
In the first instance, we recommend that you visit the school to see our facilities, meet the staff and see how we work. After that, should you wish to apply for a place, you will need to complete the Registration Form, and return it to the school with the relevant documentation. Please click here to download a Registration Form.
For the Nursery, in the term, or half term, preceding their entry, your child will be offered a date to come and spend a session in the Nursery, to familiarise themselves with the environment.
Parents are always welcome to come and visit the Nursery at any time. Please call in or telephone to arrange an appointment.
Chard School has received no formal complaints (regarding admissions) this academic year.
