There was much excitement in Tuesday’s Assembly as the children were paid a surprise visit by Shelley from Foxdown Children’s Farm (Marshwood) to launch our new whole school topic of ‘New Beginnings’.
Shelley brought along a whole host of very cuddly residents from Foxdown Children’s Farm and talked to the children about how baby rabbits and guinea pigs start their lives and their journey to become adults. The children also learnt all about the care that the animals need to live a happy life!
After the talk, everyone was given the opportunity to meet some of the furry visitors and to stroke and pet them. Cue lots of ‘oohs’ and ‘aahhs’!
A huge thank you to Shelley and her adorable visitors from Foxdown Children’s Farm, what a fantastic way to kick off our new topic for the term!
