We were thrilled to be able to welcome Pre-Prep parents to our much-anticipated Pre-Prep Olympic Sports Day on Monmouth Lawn on Friday.
In the glorious sunshine, to mark the start of the afternoon, we were treated to a full Opening Ceremony complete with the raising of the Olympic Flag, a Torch-led procession, ribbon dancing and singing. With field events already completed in the lead up to the day, the children took part in a variety of races including running, sack, egg and spoon, obstacle and relay. A huge well done to all of our pupils who amazed us with their great determination and sporting spirit across all the events, we definitely have some mini sports stars in the making!
After the races an Olympic-style awards ceremony was held recognising individual and team success complete with hand crafted certificates and medals. Team Japan (Raleigh) were delighted to be crowned the winning team overall and following the awards everyone tucked into some hard-earned lollies! What a superb sporting afternoon, bravo Pre-Prep!
