Our Prep school shone on the sports field on Friday as they took part in their eagerly awaited Olympic Sports Day. The event was opened by with the Olympic Torch handover, followed by a parade around the track by our competing teams. After the parade everyone took part in a musical performance of ‘Chariots of Fire’ and then a ‘Haka’ display set the tone for the afternoon of competition!
Having already completed some of the field events in the week, the children took part in a range of running, sack and relay races. Well done to all of the children who really gave their all on the day, achieving personal successes as well as contributing to the team scores overall. Our 100m medal winners were crowned today and we look forward to a special Assembly on Monday when the remaining medals will be presented and our overall winning Olympic Team will be announced!
What a super and memorable sporting afternoon, well done everyone!
