Tuesday 7th May – Friday 10th May

A Note from the Friends:

The sign-up sheet for the film afternoon on Saturday 11th May is on the main notice board.  Please make sure you have signed up your child/children if they are attending.

We are still looking for 2 car park attendants at the Duck Race.  If you know of a willing person who would like free tea and cakes, please forward their name to one of the Committee members or our email friends@chardschool.co.uk.

Summer dresses are in demand at the Second Hand Shop!  If you have one lurking in the cupboard that is of no use or you think isn’t in great condition, please donate to the Second Hand Shop.

Preparations are under way for the Duck Race and Summer Fair.  Keep an eye out for future communications via the newsletter, notice board and letters in book bags.

We hope you have noticed the splendid new benches in the playground.  The teachers and pupils are thrilled so a big thank you for your generosity.

House Captains:  Congratulations to Oliver and James who have been voted in as House Captains for their respective Houses.

New Student Council Representatives:  Congratulations to Jack and Jemima (Upper Cerdic), Grace and Edward P (Lower Cerdic), Sophia and Harvey (Harris) and Molly and Archie in Wyndham.

Student Council Meeting:  The first meeting of the term will be on Wednesday 8th May @3.30pm in the Science Lab.

Music in Assembly:  The strings had their turn in Assembly last week.  All of the children who played were superb and the String Group who have only played all together just once were wonderful.  This was followed on Friday by the Guitar Group led by Mr Goodman – well done and thank you to all who took part.

School Information Evening:  it was very good to see many parents at the meeting on Thursday evening, especially as every year group from Nursery to Lower Cerdic were represented.  If you would like to know more about our future developments, please do not hesitate to come and ask me.
