Spanish Day

Spanish Day

IMG_7444

Last Wednesday,┬áthe school was filled with flamenco dancers, conquistadors, bulls and even a gun-toting Mexican! Spanish Day began with a bang as pupils clutched their ‘Pasaporte’ and made their way around the school going to Art, Spanish and Music lessons. In Art they made miniature Picasso style self-portraits, coloured in some Miro inspired artwork and even made Salvador Dali’s wobbly clocks! In Music they made maracas, castanets and fans. The highlight was undoubtedly the tapas picnic at break time where the pupils tried many new foods including olives, sun dried tomatoes, spicy peppers, Spanish omelette, chorizo and Serrano ham. This was topped off with a prize-giving assembly featuring the guitar group playing the specially written ‘omelette song’! Gracias a todos y hasta la vista!
