Science trip to Bristol

Science trip to Bristol

Years 1-6 enjoyed a fantastic day out in Bristol on Thursday. First stop was the old Observatory at Clifton, where we viewed one of only two of the UK’s camera obscura open to the public and then crept down a steep, narrow tunnel to the cliff face to get an amazing view of Brunel’s suspension bridge (see photo of KS2 children on the platform that jutted out over the gorge).

The rest of the day was spent in small groups touring around the exciting, hands-on exhibits at the excellent Science Centre, @-Bristol; the older children had the bonus of a brilliant Glow Show laid on especially for Science Week.

All the children were buzzing with excitement when they returned home; we all want to go back for more!
