Print making workshop

Print making workshop

The Cerdic classes had a brilliant workshop yesterday with the Double Elephant Print Workshop. This work tied in with their trip to the Thelma Hulbert Gallery in Honiton where they studied the work of Eduardo Paolizzi.

George and Ann, from the DEPW, gave a demonstration on photographic screen printing. They bought screens with images on them of unusual patterns, shapes, cars, heads etc.. all relating to Paolizzi’s work. The children were then given the chance to experiment with layering and juxtapositions of images. For two hours the room was buzzing with creative printmaking!

One of the best prints from each child, plus their relief tile made at the gallery, will form part of the final exhibition at the gallery on October 29th. Try to go along if you can!
