Monday June 3rd – Friday June 7th

A Note from the Friends:

The Duck Race took place at Bere Farm and the sun managed to shine for the whole event. We have many to thank – to the Jeffery Family for your hospitality, to all the parents who helped at the event in directing traffic and serving refreshments, to Mrs Dumble and Tom for their sterling work in catching the ducks, to Jemima and Holly for keeping the scores and to everyone for supporting the event. We are thrilled that we raised over £400.  Congratulations to all our winners.

Our next big event is the Summer Fair on Saturday 8th June. Please add your donations to the hamper list on the main notice board.  Raffle tickets were sent home in book bags, please return completed stubs and cash to the office as soon as you can.  Our two star prizes in the raffle are a Kindle Paperwhite and a 3 month membership to Cricket St Thomas sports club!  If you require more raffle tickets, either contact a Friend or buy them on the day of the Fair.  Additional donations are needed for Mrs Slade’s bottle stall, Mrs Snell’s craft stall, Mrs Edginton’s cake stall and the plant stall.  All donations should be put in the Cerdic Room by Friday morning.  Mr Tucker will also be auctioning the chicks hatched at school.

You should have received your Bags 2 School sacks in book bags. The return date is Thursday 20th June. We raised £435 last year through this scheme so please return your filled sacks by the closing date.

Our Girl’s Night Out will be held on Thursday 27th June when we will be screening Les Miserables. More details to follow nearer the time.
