Monday 4th – Thursday 7th February

A Note from the Friends:

We had a great film afternoon on Saturday and raised £64.  Congratulations to Penny F who won the DVD.

The Friends accounts were presented at the recent AGM.  In 2012, we raised a total of £4,691 with various fund raising activities.  The Summer and Christmas Fairs raised just over £2,700.  Bags2School and the Second Hand Uniform Shop also raised a significant amount of nearly £800.  The Friends paid for the new staging, mugs to celebrate the Jubilee, educational games for Horner and Monmouth, the Nursery garden and subsidised the trip to the Christmas Panto.

The Bags to School collected last week made £145.

The current balance is over £4,000 and the Friends will be working with Mrs Bruce and staff on how funds can be best spent to contribute to the children’s educational needs.

A big thank you to all parents, relations, staff and pupils for their support in 2012.

2nd Hand Clothing Shop will be open on Monday 4th February from 8.50am  in its new home – top of the stairs, Monmouth House.  Please come and browse or bring old uniform that is still in good enough condition to sell.  Ballet items are still available (4-5 yrs) and we also have a pile of karate outfits in great condition.
