A Note from the Friends:

Hopefully you will have noticed the new Friend’s notice board which Mr Crabb has kindly installed beside the dining room entrance.  Please keep an eye out for future notices.  As this is our last message before the Easter break, we wanted to remind you of diary dates for the first half of next term: 

22 April – Second Hand shop open (8.50 – 9.20 am)

24 April – Friend’s Committee Meeting.  Please forward any items for the Agenda to friends@chardschool.co.uk or speak to a Committee member

11 May – Children’s film afternoon.  Sign-up sheet will be available two weeks before the event.

23 May – Duck Race.  Volunteers needed for BBQ and teas please!  

In anticipation of the fantastic weather coming, we are looking for a loan of two gazebos for the Duck Race and the Summer Fair.  If you have one, please shout!

Red Nose Day:  Thank you to everyone who made cakes this week.  We made £100 on the Red Noses and £144 on the cake sales throughout the week.  The Nursery children made £9 with their own little red nose day activities! 

World Poetry Day:  We will be celebrating World Poetry Day on Thursday 21st March with poetry reading from around the world I Assembly starting at 9.00am.  Children from Symes to Upper Cerdic will be taking part.

Area Finals:  Good luck to both our Netball and Tag Rugby teams who are representing the School in the respective Area Finals next week!

Absences:  Please ring the Office before 8.45 am if your child is going to be absent from School.
