Monday 12th – Friday 16th November

Remembrance:  Last week was a very special week in school with the focus on Remembrance.  Highlights were probably the visit to us by Mr Peter Taylor who spent his childhood on Guernsey during the war when it was occupied by the Germans and also our very moving Remembrance Assembly where Upper Cerdic excelled themselves.  A thank you to them and to Group Captain Tim Barton, an Old Cerdic, who read the Roll of Honour.  Mr Bilboe’s World War 2 car was also very popular – the children were fascinated by the indicators

Friends coffee morning week:  Thank you to the Friends who made this possible last week.  It seemed to be quite a success.

Shoebox: For those children wanting to take part in Operation Christmas Child we will collect the boxes in the Old Cerdic Room.  Boxes should be handed into us by Friday 16th November. (www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk )

Christmas Cards: Your children will have brought home their Christmas cards on Friday. Please can the orders be in by Friday 16th November. The Friends are supporting this with all monies raised going into their coffers.

Pencil Cases: A plea from all of the teachers – please can pencil cases be checked and equipped for lessons?
