Monday 11th November – Friday 15th November

Message from the Friends:

Panto

Thanks to everyone who responded.  A full list of attendees is on the Friends Notice Board (by the dining room).  Please check your information (listed alphabetically by surname of child) and if any changes are required, contact Lindsay as soon as possible.

Christmas Fair

The request for donations for the hampers will be posted on the main notice board on Monday.  Your generosity was magnificent at the Summer Fair and a repeat effort would be very much appreciated.  Donations can be put in the Cerdic Room from Monday 18th until Thursday 28th November.   Along with the hampers, our Star Prize for the Raffle is a Kindle Fire HD.  Raffle tickets will be sent home with children next week.

Plates will be sent out in book bags/rucksacks by Monday 18th November.  Please fill your plate with delicious edible treats – home made or bought – and return to the Cerdic Room on Friday 29th November.

We will be running a jolly jar raffle.  Fill a jar (any size) with sweets, biscuits, crafts, lego, etc.

During the week, we will have a board outside for the Christmas Cake Raffle.  Tickets will cost £1 and the raffle will take place at the Fair.

As previously noted, Chard School tea towels, shopping bags and trolley tokens will be on sale on the day.  A picture of the bag is on the Friends Notice Board and the Friends are taking pre-orders as there is a limited supply.  All itmes will make ideal gifts for parents and relatives.  We hope these items will sell like hot cakes!

Please keep an eye out for further notices regarding the Fair.

Scholastic Books:  The Book Fair raised £367 in FREE BOOKS for our school.  Thank you so much to everyone!

Life Education:  The children (and staff) thoroughly enjoyed the Life Education Caravan.  They all learnt a great deal so on behalf of them I would like to thank the Friends for funding this for us.

NSPCC: The School raised over £700 for the NSPCC and they have asked me to pass on their grateful thanks to everyone who contributed.
