French Day

French Day

img_8314

Chard School was a sea of red, white and blue on Wednesday as pupils arrived ready to begin a day of French activities. Everyone was treated to a delicious French breakfast, featuring brioche, crêpes, croissants, madeleines and pain au chocolat as well as pâté and cheese. There were boules tournaments, a treasure hunt and an amazing construction challenge. By lunchtime the school was awash with Eiffel Towers and Louvres made out of marshmallows and spaghetti! Selecting prize winners was a hard task as there were so many inventive outfits. Awards went to Evie and Matthew for their brilliant ‘bunches of grapes’, Scarlett and Phoebe for their French chef outfits and also to Napoleon (Harry) and Dora for her French frog! Merci beaucoup à tous!
