Festive Fun at Christmas Fair

Festive Fun at Christmas Fair

Everyone got into the festive spirit on Saturday for the annual Christmas Fair, organised by the Friends of Chard School. Santa’s Grotto proved very popular with the children whilst the adults enjoyed festive shopping, mince pies, mulled wine and bacon rolls. Pupils from Chard School sang and performed Christmas carols in the Busking Corner and Junior pupils ran their own games and stalls including ‘Biscuit Decorating’ and ‘Pin the nose on the Rudolph’. At the end of the Fair, there was a Grand Draw for a range of fantastic hampers and the star prize of a Kindle Fire. A beautiful Christmas cake was also raffled on the day. The event was a great success raising in excess of £1600 for the Friends of Chard School.
