Farming Fun at Forest School

Farming Fun at Forest School

To fit in with our harvest week, Symes and Horner spent the day on Tuesday being young farmers at Magdalen Farm near Winsham.

They were kept very busy in the beautiful autumn countryside helping Farmer Sam by feeding the pigs, ducks and chickens, collecting and measuring the chicken and duck eggs and making scarecrows to keep the birds off the crops.

After a well-deserved lunch, the children made some pictures using the natural colours of flowers and berries as paint.

They will be visiting Magdalen again in two weeks’ time, to explore the woods and do some den building. We can’t wait..!
