Day in the Cotley countryside

Day in the Cotley countryside

Four & five year old children from the school had a fantastic day today during their ‘Cotley Countryside Day’.  All the children enjoyed themselves enormously and they took part in lots of activities, including pond dipping, visiting the hunt hounds and their puppies and a woodland walk. They also fed lambs, fed goat kids, watched a blacksmith at work shoeing ponies and held duck races.

The children’s Class Teacher, Mrs Snell said “A good time was had by all, thanks to Mary Perry with the help of her mother, Mrs Eames and Scarlett’s father, Fred Eames.  Also thanks to the Cotley Inn who allowed us to use their garden and provided the ice creams, Mr Lister whose golden Guernsey goats were just beautiful, Mr Olive, the blacksmith and Caroline who looks after the hounds.”
