Chard School welcomes new Head

Chard School welcomes new Head

Chard School is delighted to announce that Sarah Graham will be taking up the post of Headmistress from September 2015. Sarah is thrilled to return to her roots in Somerset to take the helm of Chard School after running a top 400-strong pre-preparatory school in London. A modern languages graduate of St Andrews, she has a wealth of educational leadership experience in both state and independent sectors. With three children of her own who have all been through private primary education she is used to seeing things from a parent’s point of view.

Sarah says “Chard School is uniquely placed to offer a truly independent education tailored to the needs of your child, with long-standing tradition and excellent facilities, yet small enough to be flexible and forward-looking. Pupils move on to a range of schools, with Colyton and the Taunton schools being the most popular, and most recently our leavers have been awarded scholarships for academic, musical, sporting and all-round achievement. I feel privileged to be taking up the position of Head at this exceptional school.”

Meet our new Head at the next Open Day which will take place on Friday 9th October, 9.30am -11.30am. Sarah encourages all prospective parents to “Come along and take a tour of our wonderful school! The Open Day will give you a real feel of what life is like at Chard; the breadth of the curriculum, our extensive facilities, our passionate and enthusiastic teaching staff and above all our happy and thriving children.”
